A particular achievement for The Smith is the production of a large riser unit that has been sub-divided into 5 separate riser compartments using Comtec’s innovative WallBeam system. The fireproof beam provides a structural support for constructing partition walls and eliminates the need for cladding steel beams to provide fire compliance. This results in huge amounts of labour time, subcontractor coordination and access challenges.
